Creating and modifying configurations of websites and portals

Introduction

On this page, you can configure the frame layout, the navigation frame type, the header frame type, and the top banner of a website or an existing one. In addition, you can configure a workspace for the customer, supplier, or reseller portal. This workspace is the first page that will be displayed when customers, suppliers, or resellers log in to the respective portals.

Roles and rights

All users can view the configurations for the websites and workspaces. To be able to delete any configuration, function right 268 – Maintain websites is required. To configure the website or workspace settings, or modify the configurations from the overview page, function right 276 – Maintain websites, corporate level is required. By default, users with the Web administrator role have these function rights.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 259 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I configure website or workspace settings?

  1. On the page, click New.
  2. At Title, type the name of the website or workspace.
  3. At Type, select the type of website or workspace. Skip step 4 if you are configuring the website settings of the Standard type.
  4. At Format, select Workspace or Website to specify the format for the reseller, customer, or supplier portal.
  5. Define the rest of the fields where necessary.
  6. Click Save.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon is mandatory.

How do I modify the configurations of websites or workspaces?

  1. On the page under the Criteria section at Active, select Yes or No to display only active or inactive websites and workspaces respectively. Leave the field blank to display all websites and workspaces.
  2. At Division, type or select a division code to display only the websites and workspaces linked to the division selected.
  3. Define the rest of the fields.
  4. Click Show.
  5. Click the hyperlink of the corresponding website or workspace to modify its configurations.
  6. Make the necessary changes.
  7. Click Save.
